Merchaid
As a response to the financial side-effects of COVID-19 Merchaid was set up to come as help to local businesses struggling financially from the shutdown. We wanted to help these small businesses as they are the anchors of our vibrant, unique communities.
The initiative allowed creatives to illustrate designs for businesses and we created Merch that was sold online. All the proceedings of sales going back to the businesses to help cover overhead costs and pay employees during these hard times.
For 6 weeks we dropped a daily collab. The collabs were so fresh they sold out within hours and were even given a shout out in GQ and Vogue.
I worked on the art direction and launching the social account. It was used to hype up the drops but also, to tell the story of our businesses and their owners.
